Great Cyprus Holidays - Customer Rental Terms & Conditions
General
We kindly ask you to read carefully the following Terms and Conditions in order to avoid any misunderstandings. Our company reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, update, add or remove these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice.
Booking Info
When you are ready to book your chosen holiday property you will be required to register with Great Cyprus Holidays, you will then be able to log into your account.
All prices are shown in GBP sterling, per property per week and are inclusive of VAT.
Once availability and total cost of services are confirmed by our company (usually within 24 hours), you will be required to complete a booking form to secure your
accommodation.
Please note, some properties will require a bond to cover the costs of any damage to the property and contents during your stay. This bond will be detailed on your booking form if applicable. Subject to inspection, the bond will be refunded within 14 days of your return home.
Deposits of 30% will payable on confirmation of your booking.
The balance of your payment must be paid at least 10 weeks prior your arrival date.
If date of arrival is less than 10 weeks from date of booking then payment deposit and balance is required in full.
Once full payment is received your holiday details will be forwarded to you by email
Payment
A non refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been made and a booking form submitted.
Payment can be made by cheque or by bank transfer to our bank account, cheques payable to Caroline Haynes & Linda King
Great Cyprus Holidays will not accept responsibility for cash sent through the post.
There will be a handling fee of 2.9% on all credit, debit, bank transfer and PayPal for all balances or part balances.
Cancellation of booking:
Cancellation by you:
You or any member of your party may cancel your booking at any time however the following charges will apply;
More than 10 weeks before arrival date – lose deposit only.
Less than 10 weeks before arrival date - total loss of booking cost.
Travel Insurance is strongly recommended to cover all eventualities.
Cancellation by the Owners:
If the property becomes unavailable then you will be offered alternative accommodation or your booking fee reimbursed in full
Liability
In consideration of the fact Great Cyprus Holidays acts only as an online booking agent NOT a travel agent, Great Cyprus Holidays accepts no liability whatsoever for any aspect of the arrangements, in particular, no liability for any loss, personal injury/illness or death however incurred. The company uses all reasonable endeavors to ensure the accuracy of all information provided and the quality and facilities of the property(s), we cannot accept liability for any problems that occur while guests occupy the property(s) of their choice. All information has been provided in good faith and no liability is accepted whatsoever by Great Cyprus Holidays for any misrepresentation of property material or accommodation. Great Cyprus Holidays make every effort to ensure the descriptions on our website are correct as it does not own any of the properties, and cannot control or prevent changes occurring. Material changes to property details are very infrequent and we endeavor to notify you of any changes before commencement of the booking. No compensation will be payable by Great Cyprus Holidays and no claims accepted for costs or additional expenses incurred as a result of any changes.
Travel Insurance is strongly recommended to all eventualities.
Occupancy
Only the specified number of persons, per booking form may occupy the property at any time. The property is for exclusive use and cannot be re-let or sub-let to any other group, party or individual without written permission from Great Cyprus Holidays. Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number occupy the property at any time. Great Cyprus Holidays reserve the right to refuse admittance to the hirer and party if they are in breach of this condition.
In the case of under occupancy, bedrooms that are not used will be locked and not available to guests. Once a booking has been made at full occupancy rate it will not be possible to change the booking for under occupancy, if the number of occupants decreases. If you have taken advantage of an under occupancy discount, and the size of your party increases you will be required to pay the additional rate based on the final number of occupants.
You and your party will be responsible for any breakages, losses or damage that may occur to the property, contents or grounds. This may waiver your rights to a refund of the bond secured on the property.
The duration of your occupancy may not be extended without prior written agreement from Great Cyprus Holidays.
The hirer is responsible for taking reasonable care of the property and its contents. At the end of the hire period, the property and all its contents, including all equipment, furniture and utensils, etc must be left clean and tidy, this to include all crockery and cutlery cleaned and stored in the appropriate cupboards, and ensure the oven, microwave and fridge are clean. On departure the hirer is responsible for ensuring all windows and doors are locked and the key replaced in the key box or left where instructed. The hirer shall ensure all rubbish is cleared away and placed in the communal dustbins.
The hirer will be charged for any additional time costs incurred by the cleaner and Great Cyprus Holidays if the above is not adhered to.
Arrival and Departure times
Unless previously agreed in writing with Great Cyprus Holidays, the property will be available for occupation from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated at 11.00am on the day of departure.
Flights
Great Cyprus Holidays do not provide flights; therefore you will be responsible for making your own travel arrangements.
We request you confirm your flight details with us as soon as they have been made.
Greta Cyprus Holidays cannot be held responsible for any delays, cancellations caused by the airlines, agents or operators.
Insurance
In order to protect yourselves it is essential that you take suitable travel insurance cover for all your party for the duration of the rental period.
Since cancellation of your holiday rental period may prove costly, it is recommended that you ensure your insurance includes generous cancellation and curtailment cover.
Although Cyprus is an EU member, the level of medical and emergency cover provided may not match the levels within the UK. We advise you still have a valid EHIC card.
Complaints
In the unlikely event you have a complaint about the property or contents whist on holiday; it must be reported immediately by telephone or email to Great Cyprus Holidays within 48 hours of your arrival. After this time it will be assumed everything is in order.
Great Cyprus Holidays will have no liability to investigate any complaint submitted after the hire period.
Great Cyprus Holidays accept No responsibility for any building work undertaken by local authority, developers or neighbors, and are unable to control the levels of noise from said mentioned.
Whilst Great Cyprus Holidays assure you of our best endeavors to minimize any inconvenience we do not accept liability in these cases.
Responsibilities
Great Cyprus Holidays cannot be held responsible for any circumstances beyond our control including, but not limited to, mechanical failure, illness, television reception, swimming pool maintenance or any failure of public supply.
The owner, representatives or subcontractors have the right to access the property at any time with regards to the hirer’s convenience, for the purpose of linen change, inspection of property or to carry out essential or routine repair, or maintenance work.
Great Cyprus holidays have a no smoking policy, but smoking is permitted on balconies or terraces and ash trays will be provide for this.
Where sky TV is stated in the properties, this will be the free view channels only. Sky TV will be via a sky box or an alternative satellite digibox or Nile Sat. Local satellite TV is not sky but does have a selection of English speaking channels. If a property does not have sky or local satellite the television is for use with DVD player only.
